Paint Air Max 90 soles

  • Ez guys

I’m new here so apologies if this has been covered before. I did a search and couldn’t find anything.

How do I go about painting the sole and midsole of a Nike air max 90?

I’ve been using Angelus paint but it just scrapes off. Everyone else seems to use it though.

I’ve tried all kinds of different ways and nothing seems to work. Firstly I just tried paint, then mixing it with sole bright. Then I got some raleigh restorations scratch resistant sealer and followed the instructions in this video to the letter but it’s just not working.

I actually did that last one twice, once with sole protectors [but anywhere without the pvc would scratch] and then once again just to test how weak they were.

What are you guys doing to get the paint on the to be durable. Is there a better paint to use? Is it just a case of getting the technique right? or is it just not actually possible to do?
